Team “Loui” Anticipates a Long Partnership

Saxon Warrior (Waterloo aka Loui) is doing extremely well. I am very happy with him because of his sweet character and eagerness to learn. The photos I am sending you are from last summer not too long after I purchased him. His body condition was still light at that point, but it has changed a lot and he looks fantastic now.

After several weeks of careful ground work the first time I rode him was on the lunge line. He was great and accepted the bit and my aids immediately. Since then I have always gotten on him without lunging him at all, even if he hadn’t worked for a few days. He is extremely reliable and a very sensible ride. Training him is a lot of fun and I think his great disposition and talent will allow him to progress to an advanced level.

I am not sure yet which career path we will follow. At the moment I put my emphasis on dressage and jumping will be introduced soon.
