Dudley and friends celebrate Halloween at the Ashland Hunter Pace

We went to the Haunted Hollow Hunter Pace at Ashland, October 18th. We were the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Since most of our Bits & Bytes Farm horses are black or bay, we only took “Dudley” (aka Josh) to be the black horse. Leslie took her chestnut Thoroughbred as the red horse, and Mary Catherine had Zena for the white one. Our friend Rose was the pale horse’s rider.

“Dudley”was fabulous! Part of it was open (he likes to run) and lots of it was through the woods with water crossings and lots of bridges. He didn’t blink an eye at any of it, not even everyone’s capes flapping around. What a great guy!

Icy (Icy Event) is doing well; still a little tender with his feet. I’ve been rasping a micron at a time off of his toes and putting the Reducine and Hoof Guard on. He’s getting along with everyone now but definitely doesn’t try to tell anyone else what to do.
