No Rapping These Fences!
Ol’ Rap (Rap It Up) is making steady progress. He is jumping better with each practice, he acts like he has had some previous schooling over jumps because he is already jumping so well. He gets a bit nervous at times but overall he has been very willing to do what I ask of him.

Marvin is fabulous! Marvin is so adorable that I never want to take a step back to snap a picture. I can ride him up to a gate and he’ll stand quietly while I unlatch it, and doesn’t mind helping me close it after we’ve passed through it. Any day of the week, I can hop on him and walk/trot/canter anywhere I want to go without a care in the world.

Allegedly True aka “True Sweetheart” stood quietly for the farrier and then went on a hunter pace at the Metamora Hunt. He did very well and stayed right with the other four horses — did not spook at any thing.

I never thought I would love a Thoroughbred this much — having always ridden Quarter Horses. Now, I have a much more open mind and he has certainly changed the my perception of what the breed is truly about. I think you need a lot of patience with them, yes they are sensitive, but WOW when you channel it all into the job or work they do, it’s incredible how loyal and smart they are.
