Elizabeth,

Thanks for the response. No worries. We are going S-L-O-W, primarily bc. of the extreme heat here in Memphis. Goldie huffs and puffs. He’s getting hosed down round the clock. Despite that, he’s still a love and dealing w/ his frequent presence in the wash rack with relative patience.

We have him on One A/C, and he’s getting a stout beer every evening, which seems to be helping him to some degree.

I think I’ve finally located a good saddle to accommodate his high withers. I’m hoping for more reasonable weather later this week so I can see that it fits me as well.

Here’s a pic of Gold yesterday, waiting for yet another treat. I can’t say enough about this good boy. Over the next two weekends I travel. However, this Fall should bring more interesting posts with more progress.

As always, my thanks.

Jennifer  p.s. People ask me how I found him…I relate my story of your website and mission. If they have had the pleasure of meeting Goldie, you can see the wheels in their heads turning. If they have not, you can see their incredulous look. Nonetheless, you can chalk up yet another successful placement and match. 😉
