Four Year Anniversary for K O River Crossing and His Mom Loui
Wow!Hard to believe it has been four years since I purchased K O River Crossing (sight unseen and just retiring from racing). This past year he has come a long way. Dressage lessons, lots of ground work/riding and many desensitizing sessions with Bob and the “redneck carwash, flags, noodles, hoola hoops and more have definitely paying off.
Mr Inquisitive/Mr. Wonderful – One Year Later
I bought Mr. Inquisitive from you when he was 3 years old last December. He has been such a pleasure. I have been taking it slow with his training since I am in no hurry and he seemed to benefit from this approach. He is an excellent jumper-my trainer loves him.
Ikon Is Great!
Ikon is doing great. We had some cousins come visit us and they each got “pony” rides on our boys. Ikon was the overwhelming favorite. They thought he was so sweet and gentle. I felt like a proud mama!! Hope all is well with the horses/dogs at Bits and Bytes!!

Hounds Under Foot . . . No Problem for This OTTB
I took Rap foxhunting for his first time and my wife got to experience mounted foxhunting for her first time, and they both did great! We started out in the back and as the day wore on moved closer to the front, Rap was completely unphased by all the activity going on, including hounds running literally under his feet.
Win For Morgan Is Better Than Expected
Win For Morgan’s first Success Story: Tall and young was what I was interested in and that’s what Win For Morgan (now known as “Fitch” in the barn) was. That didn’t convince anyone that buying him was a good idea though. The whole “sight unseen” part of buying him made everyone nervous, but then again none of them had talked to Elizabeth but me. . .
Take a “Taxi” to School
Tax Hike was awesome at the show. It was her first time in this environment and she was very well behaved. Cait’s been taking lessons at our place or across the street once a week but opted to go to the show without any coaching. She has so much confidence in this horse. Anyway, they were an awesome pair, did fabulous and had a ball. They got a first and a third.
Finder’s Chance Scores Well in Dressage
Finder’s Chance did great in his first show. Intro Tests A and B. I think he got 69% in Test A and 68% in Test B (even with an error). Except for the entrance and exit, he got all 7s and 8s. He really doesn’t yet have the concept of halting at attention.
