Rocky Bear and Bits & Bytes Farm owner - Elizabeth
This Web site was created to tell the stories of the Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds Bits & Bytes Farm has sold. The Mission of Bits & Bytes Farm is to help sellers (of Thoroughbred racehorses for sale) to find buyers who have the ability to transition these horses to new careers. We offer assistance and guidance to make sure the horses we sell are successfully placed. Our Success Stories are proof that Thoroughbred racehorses make great sport horses and family members when their racing careers are over.
When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. They often call or e-mail to thank us for finding a home for a horse they bred or trained. To learn more about Bits & Bytes Farm and our mission please visit our Web site at: www.BitsandBytesFarm.com.

Enjoying Life After Racing
We had a perfect day today (weather) and both horses took full advantage of it on the soft ground. Thought you’d enjoy seeing Taxi with Cait’s other horse, Pepper. We’ve never had two horses lay down together like this. We were working on the fence near them so after seeing if we needed any help they decided to crash.
Antioch Video
We got a quick update on how Antioch is doing. Look at how well he is moving and he is on the bit. We are very proud of this pair! There are several videos on Antioch on YouTube. Watch them and see how an off-the-track Thoroughbred’s body changes as they learn to balance themselves and…
OTTB Copper Rocket ROCKS His New Mom’s World
This horse is awesome!!! He is so sweet and is extremely intelligent. It is amazing how quiet he is you would never know he had been recently shipped across country or that he is an ex-racehorse. Well that is until I turn him out in the arena. We are taking his new life adventures very…

Lovely Weather – Lovely Thoroughbreds!
This weather is so wonderful! The boyz (Chilletecaux and Dakota Spirit) have been doing so well. Nancy (the older Ms. Lane) came out to watch both horses go which is great for me given she is such a good ground person. She reminded me not to let Chille get me leading with my body, to keep open to help him stay slower. So easy without someone on the ground and she has such a good eye.
Baileysontherocks Still Rocks Eight Years Off-the-Track!
Baileysontherocks has found a wonderful new home! He is now living at a private farm just five miles up the road from me, with a young girl named Colbie. Colbie is just getting into jumping and showing English, and loves his forward, eager personality.
Baileysontherocks came off-the-track in 2004 with the help of Bits & Bytes Farm.

“Marvin’s” First Ride – Me Tru(ly) Wonderful
I am totally, completely, crazily in love with Me Tru (aka Marvin). He is everything that Becky said he was…and so much more.
Hounds Under Foot . . . No Problem for This OTTB
I took Rap foxhunting for his first time and my wife got to experience mounted foxhunting for her first time, and they both did great! We started out in the back and as the day wore on moved closer to the front, Rap was completely unphased by all the activity going on, including hounds running literally under his feet.
