The Mission of Bits & Bytes Farm is to help sellers (of Thoroughbred racehorses for sale) to find buyers who have the ability to transition these horses to new careers. Our Success Stories are proof that Thoroughbred racehorses make great sport horses and family members when their racing careers are over.
When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. Manager Boire was named in part after an employee at the barn where he was bred. If you choose to rename your horse, please continue to use their registered names when you attend shows.
Gold Commander One Loves to Play
. . .a little more than six months later, I’m as happy as ever with him. He’s a very thoughtful, playful, curious and intelligent horse, representing Thoroughbreds very well. He likes to lip ponytails of the girls at the barn; he snatches lead ropes and halters off hooks and tosses them in the air, and; he also likes to drink water out of water bottles – a real ham.

Antioch Arrives in Arizona
Antioch arrived late last night! He is gorgeous even if he is thin and woolly! He began eating hay and found the automatic waterer right away. We are heading over there in a few minutes to try some beet pulp. We will take some pictures when we get there!
Tucks St. Aly Has a New Companion
Our goats are beginning to have babies again so they are separated in different pastures, so Aly has a pasture of goats above and below his two pastures and paddock and I think he quite likes it that way. The tiny baby goat was born probably a few feet from Tucks St. Aly this morning – she is quite a few inches shy of a foot tall.
