Jo Sly Pack is solidly showing training level and schooling first level. We have been doing some three phases and that is his talent. He will jump anything you point him at. People are shocked when I tell them how old he is. He is the only five year old TB I know that can gallop in a field and come right back to you and walk around on a loose rein.

Two Years Off-the-Track! Dr. Kenny Winn

In the two years since Dr. Kenny Winn aka “Kwinn” joined our family, he’s had numerous transitions – 3 barns, 3 trainers, and many new horse friends and routines to adjust to. But, the one thing that he has always been able to count on has been my presence in his life. I’ve learned just how important that is to these horses as I’ve helped him adjust to each new transition.

Wolfie Goes to Wellington!

It was our first time there and Wolfie continues to get better as he gains more experience. This was another sleep away weekend beginning Friday afternoon with schooling. Saturday was Hunter classes in the Adult Amateur classes and we placed in two of our classes with a 6th and a 4th. I am pleased as we continued to improve through the day. Sunday was Adult Equitation day and we really settled and won two seconds, a third and a fifth. We are getting much better at finding and keeping our jumping pace and hitting the proscribed number of strides.

Two Years Off the Track “Cadence” Makes Great Strides

“Cadence” aka Cold Cash – we qualified for the Southwest Dressage Championships last year (Oct 2008) and we placed 6th with 66.4% in Training Level. In addition, we placed in all classes we entered (First Level Test 1 (2nd pl 63%) and 4 (6th pl 58%) and First Level 4 (4th pl 63%)). We ended the year with two 66%s First Level 4 at a schooling show in which I was so proud of” Cadence” because it was the first time he really relaxed and gained confidence in the arena.

Punch Says Good-bye and Hello

Punch is now officially an OTTB! He has said good-bye to his loving race track family and hello to his new mom(s) – Dawn and Rachel Bollinger. Punch will be starting his new career as a Pony Club mount for Rachel. They hope to compete back in Kentucky in the future – this time at the Kentucky Horse Park for the National Pony Club rally.
