Bubba Encounters the Gates of Hell and They are Guarded by Three Ornery Arabs
Bubba and I have enjoyed being at Bits & Bytes Farm for the last month. But I think its time for him to come home and meet his new siblings, my three white Arabians (GG, Nettie and Kain) and little brown pony, Joe. I’ve fixed broken fencing and reset a few crooked posts. I’ve gone…

Hollywood Vic is very happy to have his Mom back on his back after a brief hiatus! Hollywood received a new bridle for Easter! He patiently modeled it for Mom to take photos! I think the modeling session almost put him to sleep!

The first real ride went very well. He walked and trotted without a care in the world. I will be taking Behren to meet my trainer for the first time on the 21st.

Kwinn (Dr. Kenny Winn)has done so well at his new barn. The change to a smaller, quieter barn has done wonders for him. Funny thing is Kwinn will adjust to just about any horse. If they like to play, he’s right there for the fun. If they want to just kick back and relax, he’ll do the same thing. I also think that as more time goes by with him being off the track, we are seeing different aspects of his personality come out. He’s still quite sweet, but he can be a character at times. This weekend Maverick and I will take the next step in our journey together. We will be moving him to his new home closer to me. I am excited to think that I will be able to see him every day, but I am also sad to see him leave his wonderful, temporary home at Bits & Bytes. In addition to it being a great facility, it has been a place of real learning and confidence building for me. I have learned from an expert (Elizabeth) how to do everything from selecting tack that works best for Maverick, to ground work, to riding in the ring, to our first trail ride together last weekend.

Carmac aka “Mac” is still doing great. He had a small puncture wound under his jaw that abscessed so has been on antibiotics for the past week and it is healing nicely now, yuck! Other than that he is wonderful! 🙂 Morgan
