Fast Commander is Available For Resale

Jul 31, 2011

Fast Commander up for sale. He is now a beautiful quiet balanced 17 hand six year-old with three very smooth gaits. However, I have reached the conclusion that he is just not happy jumping courses any higher than approx 2’9”. Even though he has done well at shows here in the beginner hunter divisions &…

Fast Commander at Home Lovin’ to be Loved

May 19, 2008

I wanted to let you know that Fast Commander arrived in Colorado Springs this morning and seemed to make the trip without any problem. He did look somewhat suspiciously at his new surroundings before deciding to come off the trailer but now appears…

“Sage” is (at) Home on the Range

Jun 16, 2009

Home…Home on the range (in Texas)…..Sage is now finally here with me and he has a new best friend Tiger. Both of them are 4 year-old OTTBs and they are both beautiful fiery red chestnuts. You would think they are long lost brothers, because they are inseparable. They don’t leave each others side….even though they are turned out with three other horses. If you take one of them away from the other they whinny at each other it’s hilarious.

Take a “Taxi” to School

Feb 14, 2011

Tax Hike was awesome at the show. It was her first time in this environment and she was very well behaved. Cait’s been taking lessons at our place or across the street once a week but opted to go to the show without any coaching. She has so much confidence in this horse. Anyway, they were an awesome pair, did fabulous and had a ball. They got a first and a third.

Focus on the Important Things

Aug 19, 2010

We began in the arena with some ground work, where River has made tremendous progress (thanks to you, Barry and Daryleen). He worked so well off voice commands today and moved beautifully. We followed this up by a great ride, working on several dressage patterns.

Helmet – check, Phone – check, Brakes – check, Seatbelt?

Dec 29, 2008

December was full of new experiences for Tux (aka Bato Loco) and me. We went on our first field trip to another farm to ride. He loaded beautifully; however, he whinnied the entire drive. I wonder if he thought I was sending him back to the track! We were both nervous, but I think we…

Amanda Meets Allegiant

Jun 29, 2009

Amanda meets her off-the-track Thoroughbred Allegiant for the first time. It was our pleasure to have the opportunity to work with Allegiant during her first week off-the-track. We are happy to help any of our buyers with their new purchase.

English, Western, Whatever!

Jan 11, 2009

It was great to get out and ride this weekend for the first time in weeks. Between the holidays, rain and work, riding time has been very limited. River (K O River Crossing) was awesome. To think that he has had only two days of ground work and two of riding in almost two months,…
