Grayboo Moves Up to Prelim
I have an exciting update on Grayboo and Amanda. They had a dressage score of 39 – not bad for their first attempt at this level and then proceeded to jump a clean stadium round. The course was not ideal for Grayboo – it was very spread out and gave Grayboo a chance to build speed from jump to jump, but Amanda managed to get him around OK (that and he absolutely can’t stand to touch a jump). Grayboo was an absolute super star on cross country – he jumped clean and Amanda finished 7 seconds over the optimum time, so added 2.8 penalties to their dressage score. I was surprised that Amanda was able to finish close to time her first time out. They finished 10th in a large Open Prelim division of 24.
Mr. Inquisitive – “Hey, They Never Did This at the Track”
“Qu” (Mr. Inquisitive) was so good today. He put up with us rearranging antlers, trying on ones that had jingle bells but wouldn’t stand up. He was probably getting a little annoyed! He’s out with my older gelding tonight and they are getting along well. Suzie

Hollywood Vic Is In Hiding
After a few seconds, I hear the thunder of hooves behind me, I turn and there is my Hollywood galloping up towards me in the pasture behind me. I said, “THERE YOU ARE!” He looked at me, spun around and ran back up to the door of the barn (that leads to the pasture he was in ) and waited for me! Now how smart is that? He saw me walk by and came to tell me to come and get him! That just made my day, no my week, no my month!

OTTB Popular One, aka Moose, nuzzles new dad, Nick”Moose” (OTTB Popular One) has calmed down after his trip and LOVES almost as much as we love giving it to him. “Moose” is the coolest horse ever. Personality is brought to a new level with him. He actually licked Nick. I think we have an identity…
OTTB Behren’s Design moves to California
He is doing great. It has been raining here since Friday. It is horrible. I hope to have a dry week so I can get him out. Yesterday his hind right leg blew up. I am hoping that is just lack of getting to move around. He seems to be sound on the leg.
Three Years Later – Three Blues, A Red and a Reserve Championship!
Laurie asked me to send some photos to you from a show she and Austins Wolfe attended yesterday with the Plantation Acres Saddle Club. After working through some “Thoroughbred moments” during warm up the team did a great job and won three blue ribbons, one red ribbon and the Reserved Championship in Green Hunter. Joshua (the…
Thanksgiving Greetings from Carmac
Carmac aka “Mac” is still doing great. He had a small puncture wound under his jaw that abscessed so has been on antibiotics for the past week and it is healing nicely now, yuck! Other than that he is wonderful! 🙂 Morgan
Haunted Halloween Hunter Pace is Big Hit for Horses
We went to the Haunted Hollow Hunter Pace at Ashland, October 18th. We were the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Since most of our Bits & Bytes Farm horses are black or bay, we only took “Dudley” (aka Josh) to be the black horse. Leslie took her chestnut Thoroughbred as the red horse, and Mary…
