Barnwoodbo Begins New Training Regime
It is hard to believe it is the middle of October already and we have had Bo for five weeks. We have been busy. My friend Staci had the last of the fall shows and her older event horse came up lame. Old age gets us all eventually. I guess the timing is perfect since…
Bato Loco the Seahorse!
Off-the-track Thoroughbred Bato Loco enjoys swimming and riding on the beach!
“Woody” aka “Blind Date” is Wonderful!
“Woody” is absolutely wonderful. We couldn’t love him more. He is very very handsome and he went to his first ‘AA’ show several weeks ago and did wonderfully. He placed 5th in one of his over fences in the Baby Greens and couldn’t have looked better or been more confident.

Fast Commander – Same Horse, New Look
Fast Commander has really put on weight, in a nice sport horse way and looks so good. He doesn’t look like a racehorse anymore! Stephanie Elizabeth’s Note: It sometimes takes a few months for an OTTB’s system to adjust to a new lifestyle and feeding program. They take on a totally different shape and with…
17 Hands and Still Growing!
Fast Commander is great though and seems to retain everything despite erratic schedules. He has jumped up to 3ft in lessons. He has really become more coordinated & athletic as he has matured, and he has gotten quite good in his lateral work. Anywhere we go, someone asks, “How big is he?” (17HH & still all legs.) He’s a pleasure to ride & I think he has a ton of talent. Read More . . .
Wolfie Goes to Sleep Away Camp!
Today (Sunday) we did basically the same set of classes – but both of us were tired. We placed 6th again in one OF class, 3rd in the US (again about 12 in there) and …. on a lark I went into the flat equitation class to give him more flat class experience since we need more seasoning there and we won! I will not tell you how long it has been since I did an equitation class….!
Leader Board is Amazing Everyone!
Well it has almost been two months since we have had Leader Board. He still amazes me as much as he did the first couple weeks. He has started over cross rails and small logs and such. He is awesome! He never even looks at the jumps, even if we try to make them a…
WOOHOO!!!
WOOHOO!!! That about describes our day today. I attribute this to Kwinn’s feeling better. While he’s filled out and is generally looking better, you can see in his eyes that he’s feeling better. We had a good time riding today. Kwinn behaved well even when the mares in the field started galloping across the field.…
