She has been affectionate right from the beginning–which made it so discouraging when she was such a touchy bold forward racehorse for so long with just the presentation of a saddle and bridle—but the last couple of weeks—she is being that big goofy teddy bear puppy dog everywhere now instead of just the times when tack was not involved. She still can get uncertain…and when she does she tries to boldly bluff her way thru like she knows everything there is to know about what she is doing—but is pretty rare of late.

Hi Elizabeth – Yes, I just had to say “thanks” to Becky for helping me get the Eleanor’s Groom (plus I’d been in the file for the brand inspector and ran across her #!!). “Jack” is doing great…he is a teenager so I have to stay on top of things (no pun intended) but he…

Gold Commander One is the barn charmer. Everyone, despite themselves, loves this big guy. Frankly, he puts the warmbloods to shame with his good mind and pleasant manners. I must admit that I felt like a kid on Christmas morning as I waited for you to pull down the driveway with my new horse, A June Affair. It doesn’t seem to matter what age I get to be because I never loose the joy and love a beautiful horse gives to me. Especially….the Thoroughbred. The incredible, wonderful, big hearted OTTB!

Outflankem aka “Bailey” is still learning to give to the bit, but Neil is doing a great job of keeping his hands and seat quiet, and it’s taking less and less time for Bailey to relax and reach down. I may be biased, but I think they look very handsome together!
