Another Happy, Healthy OTTB: Knight Villian

Jan 9, 2009

Knight Villian is doing really well. He’s fat and happy, though his mane would probably make you laugh. It hangs down past the underside of his neck, by about two inches, and tail touches the ground. He has a harem of two geriatric mares, a paint quarter horse and a bay thoroughbred, and he is…

Gold Commander One

Jul 15, 2011

Went to see Goldie after work today. He is such a gentle horse. A tribute to Michelle’s training. He stands in cross ties, no problem. He likes the wash rack & bathes. Walked him around the perimeter of the outside arena, then let him off lead. He visited the horses in the adjacent paddocks, and…

17 Hands and Still Growing!

Jan 31, 2010

Fast Commander is great though and seems to retain everything despite erratic schedules. He has jumped up to 3ft in lessons. He has really become more coordinated & athletic as he has matured, and he has gotten quite good in his lateral work. Anywhere we go, someone asks, “How big is he?” (17HH & still all legs.) He’s a pleasure to ride & I think he has a ton of talent. Read More . . .
