Trail Riding Off-the-Track Thoroughbred
We just got back in from the camping trip. We had a wonderful time! Maverick was absolutely the best! He got ridden six times! He munched on lots of new clover and loved all the attention, as always, since he was the BIG horse and would stick his head way out and stretch his neck way out from the stall. He’d nicker when he heard us stirring around the camp site.

We placed 6th again in one OF class, 3rd in the US (again about 12 in there) and …. on a lark I went into the flat equitation class to give him more flat class experience since we need more seasoning there and we won! We still do plenty of ground work, lunging, etc. He has got the best personality of any of my other horses. He is just like a big kid. Loves people, and boy is he nosy! He wants to know, and be in the middle of everything you are doing, and he’s not afraid of anything, which is nice when you are on the trail with him and something runs in front of him, or blows by him.
