Rocky Bear and Bits & Bytes Farm owner - Elizabeth
This Web site was created to tell the stories of the Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds Bits & Bytes Farm has sold. The Mission of Bits & Bytes Farm is to help sellers (of Thoroughbred racehorses for sale) to find buyers who have the ability to transition these horses to new careers. We offer assistance and guidance to make sure the horses we sell are successfully placed. Our Success Stories are proof that Thoroughbred racehorses make great sport horses and family members when their racing careers are over.
When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. They often call or e-mail to thank us for finding a home for a horse they bred or trained. To learn more about Bits & Bytes Farm and our mission please visit our Web site at: www.BitsandBytesFarm.com.

Nothing Scary as Ghost Quietly Canters
Cantered Casper today, both ways of the arena! He’s a little unbalanced, but has a delightful, “up” canter and is quiet, quiet, quiet. He is absolutely fabulous. Lesli

Hey Dude – Don’t I Know You from Somewhere?
I am amazed at the intelligence of Thoroughbreds and in particular, my little Bubba. We went to the ring to ride and there was a spotted horse trotting around at the far end. Bubba couldn’t take his eyes off this horse. He kept angling to get closer and twisting to keep his eye on this fancy fella.
Shamuuu Makes a Big Splash!
Wow, what a classy horse. He has an A++ personality. He was good yesterday considering all he’d been through the previous 24 hours, but today I got to see his real personality. I got to the barn and he was the only one in, the others were turned out before I got there, I had…

“Casper’s” Friendly Halloween Message…
The new website looks great! I love what you did with “Casper’s (Familiar Ghost’s) site.” Terrific! “Casper” is doing well – actually jumped him over a very small “x” two weeks ago. He wasn’t all that thrilled, but I certainly was. I’m unable to ride for a couple of weeks. Wish I could say I…
Happy Birthday Fast Commander!
I am attaching some recent pictures of Fast Commander out in my front pasture & on his first real trail ride this past weekend. It was beautiful weather, so there were lots of people walking dogs or riding bikes on these trails – it’s a public park. He looked at lots of things at first, but then settled nicely. He even crossed the stream twice without hesitation.

Wiseguy’s Out a Competitive Jumper
I wanted to send you a success stories update on Wiseguy’s Out. He’s doing awesome. I thought we had him sold to a trainer in Texas but they were looking for a smaller horse. He was reserve champ at local H/J show in the low hunters and showed Level One jumpers at two “AA” rated…
Imatexan A Year In (Photo) Review
Imatexan began the year as an unraced four year old Thoroughbred in race training. In ten months she has gone trail riding, camping, to dressage clinics, had jumping lessons and she has gone to two combined training schooling shows where she entered five classes – three dressage and two jumping classes and she won FIVE BLUE RIBBONS!
