Mary Misbehavin Has Turned into a Flower
Just a couple of pics of PK Mary Violet (Mary Misbehavin) enjoying life on the farm. I’ve been doing ground work almost every day, and she is doing so well. The second picture is her with the bag of rocks on her back after I threw it all around her, up against her legs, under her and dragged it all over from behind and in front etc. She doesn’t even bother to look at it.

Well, first off, let me tell you, the honeymoon is over! This girl now, instead of giving me 3 peppermints every time she comes to see me….now only gives me maybe 3 or 6 per day. Imagine that, peppermint consumption going from 30 per day to only maybe 6 per day….I’m sure you feel for me. Not only that, but we are finally in a dadgum thing called a ‘regime’. Instead of getting 4 or 5 meals a day, as when I first got here, it’s now back to 3, and no 30 minutes early stuff either.

This weather is so wonderful! The boyz (Chilletecaux and Dakota Spirit) have been doing so well. Nancy (the older Ms. Lane) came out to watch both horses go which is great for me given she is such a good ground person. Avri is putting weight on and looking good. He is doing well under saddle. We are still trail riding in the pasture and learning new things every day. He accepts my leg very well.

The thing that has impressed me the most about Dance to the Wire is how quick he learns and takes to new things. You can really see the gears in his head turning as he thinks things through before deciding if it’s worth a reaction….so far not much has bothered him.

And now the sin….I am so envious watching the two of them ride…I honestly rode for years before I even approached looking like what they look like now—and BOTH of them are just green as green.
