OTTB Votive Enjoys More Elbow Room at New Home

Nov 2, 2008

Wanted to send a little note to let you know Votive is now here at my home. She is getting along great with my 32-year-old gelding that is here as well. We worked on lunging the first weeks here and she did better than ever. She loves the idea of being able to go out…

Winter Break

Jan 27, 2010

Goldie is so funny in the snow. He and his buddy Ice love the cold weather and and play across the fence all the time. I think they’re getting cabin fever and their blankets are getting the worst of it. That part isn’t funny. Well, only had to snowshoe out to feed twice so I guess it could be worse.

OTTB Copper Rocket ROCKS His New Mom’s World

Oct 24, 2008

This horse is awesome!!! He is so sweet and is extremely intelligent. It is amazing how quiet he is you would never know he had been recently shipped across country or that he is an ex-racehorse. Well that is until I turn him out in the arena. We are taking his new life adventures very…

Propensity for Boo Boos – Mom Considers Bubble Wrap

Jan 15, 2008

I hope that you had great Christmas and New Year’s celebrations! I have been slow to send updates since our December show because Cadence has been in and out of minor injuries. I should’ve known that he would be one of those mischievous ones from his former knee injury!

Hey E! Just wanted to let you know Irish is doing great! We’ve moved to a barn that’s better for our needs and he is thriving! He is competing in a little dressage show this weekend and am excited to see how he does. Were taking it nice and slow and he is full of…

Heather’s at His Best with Jennifer

Sep 2, 2008

I took Heather to a three-phase event on Sunday, we did beginner novice and ended up getting 5th place! It was his 4th show, and only his second event, and I am so thrilled that he got a ribbon!! The day started out a little rough, I arrived early, parked the trailer and went to…

Why Ride in a Car when You can Ride a CarMAC?

Nov 4, 2008

Carmac is still doing great! I am continuing his lunging and the side reins and he is getting better and better everyday. I haven’t gotten any good pictures, as it’s hard to take pictures while lunging a horse at the same time, must work on my timing. Anyway my mother did come out one afternoon…

No Bouncing on the Trail Ride

Oct 1, 2010

Bounced did well on a 9/25 trail ride in the Flint Creek area of eastern Oklahoma, hopefully the first of a few warm-ups for the Hunter Pace in November. He has been working nicely in open pasture at home, but this was his first off-campus experience since coming to Oklahoma. He went willingly, straight in…
