Wiseguy’s Out a Competitive Jumper

Jul 30, 2008

I wanted to send you a success stories update on Wiseguy’s Out. He’s doing awesome. I thought we had him sold to a trainer in Texas but they were looking for a smaller horse. He was reserve champ at local H/J show in the low hunters and showed Level One jumpers at two “AA” rated…

Brett’s First A Show Gives Him the Blues

Jul 25, 2010

Brett and I went to our first A show this weekend. Blistering heat–105 degrees. He was wonderful, and we got a nice ribbon in the equitation class.

Theironman’s Will gets Zapped – “Help Me Mommy”

Sep 23, 2008

Well after much consideration I have come up with a BARN NAME for Ironman. This is only his barn name and will not replace his registered name (don’t even know if he is registered). I have come up with the name “Taggert” or “Tagg” for short. I currently use both, “Taggert” when I want his…

Bubba Does Dressage

Nov 30, 2009

I’ve heard the other folks at the barn talk about those special moments when you and your horse make a huge leap forward, and this past weekend Bubba and I enjoyed one of those precious moments.

Reign Day Made It Home to Massachusetts!

Mar 21, 2010

We have made it home! Nine and a half hours after loading into the car this morning, we arrived home (it was around 6:30), whereupon we unloaded Reign Day and Ty and they met our “crew”. Day was very good. He was a bit nervous, but in a very sensible manner, quietly regarding everyone and everything, and it did not take long before he seemed to be more interested in eating his hay than being nervous.

This horse is awesome!!! He is so sweet and is extremely intelligent. It is amazing how quiet he is you would never know he had been recently shipped across country or that he is an ex-racehorse. Well that is until I turn him out in the arena. We are taking his new life adventures very…

Good As Gold – Even Though Green

Aug 31, 2009

Gold Anatomy’s trainer thinks may be ready for beginner novice next spring, although she stresses that he’s too nice to rush so we’ll see.

Joe Bear’s Smooth Moves Win Two Blues

Nov 17, 2008

The show last weekend was fantastic. Joe was an absolute star. He acted like an old veteran the whole day. It was a dressage show at that newish facility ten minutes up the road. My ride times were quite spread apart, giving us a lot of time to just hang out. He was not nervous…

Bato Loco is Crazy for his New Home and Friends

Sep 24, 2008

Loco spent two hours in the pasture this morning. He loved it. He made some friends and did a lot of exploring. He followed me like a puppy. When I walked him to the round pen, he was relaxed: his head was nice and low, he walked at an easy, slow pace just behind my…
