Bubba Encounters the Gates of Hell and They are Guarded by Three Ornery Arabs
Bubba and I have enjoyed being at Bits & Bytes Farm for the last month. But I think its time for him to come home and meet his new siblings, my three white Arabians (GG, Nettie and Kain) and little brown pony, Joe. I’ve fixed broken fencing and reset a few crooked posts. I’ve gone…
“Bubba” goes Commando
“Bubba” (Lynn’s Vision) and I tried to ride with a hackamore today. We decided to try going bitless. His new teeth are making his mouth a little sore and he hasn’t learned yet to put down his head and my hands are not very soft. So when we ride his nose is up and he’s…
First Ride on Gold Commander One
Dear Michelle and Elizabeth, UPDATE: Attached is a photo, not worthy of posting anywhere, but nonetheless evidence of my first ride. I think the trainer is being particularly cautious. Plus – and I almost hate to add this, because in retrospect it seems so silly – Monarch’s racing history gave me some reason to doubt my first ride would be a smooth one. After all, he had raced twice in his short career, and he’d lost his jockey BOTH TIMES!
Tucks St. Aly and Sahib
Tucks St. Aly’s head is bigger than Alex’s pug Sahib!
Call Another Taxi
Hi Elizabeth, I was planning to send you some pictures from Taxi’s dressage lesson but they didn’t make it. Taxi refused to load. We have a 2 horse slant load extra tall and wide but she wasn’t so sure of it. Our dressage trainer was able to come over and help. He started by working…
Dixon’s Chief Transitions to his New Life
Since I sent you an update on Avrispecial I had to send you one on Dixons Chief. When Chief got here I had a lot of trouble getting him to eat but I am pretty sure it was because he had a stomach ulcer. I have had him on U-7. Becky recommended it to me…
