Jo Sly Pack’s New Career is Going Well
Jo Sly Pack is solidly showing training level and schooling first level. We have been doing some three phases and that is his talent. He will jump anything you point him at. People are shocked when I tell them how old he is. He is the only five year old TB I know that can gallop in a field and come right back to you and walk around on a loose rein.

The gelding went ok. He looked amazing for the first five days and then got a slight infection. I got him on antibiotics right away and within five days he was looking good again. It is almost totally healed at this point. The rain is killing…

Commander has had a personality change for the better almost immediately after being gelded. I’ve been on him once on the lunge line, just walking & trotting. That didn’t seem to bother him in the least. I’ve mostly been working with him on the ground & lunging. He’s still pretty swollen though he doesn’t seem…

Painted Black aka Bella, is doing very well! She is a very congenial filly….takes things in stride and very matter of fact. She has put on weight nicely and her coat has a great sheen to it. . . We still do plenty of ground work, lunging, etc. He has got the best personality of any of my other horses. He is just like a big kid. Loves people, and boy is he nosy! He wants to know, and be in the middle of everything you are doing, and he’s not afraid of anything, which is nice when you are on the trail with him and something runs in front of him, or blows by him.

Marvin has gained weight nicely, and the vet wants him to gain another 200 pounds! With the added weight and cooler temperatures, Marvin is feeling more ambitious. Nevertheless, he is always safe and sane. I can’t say enough nice things about him.
