Rap It Up Opens Gates & Jumps – One Month Update
Rap had a good day Saturday. I worked him in the ring schooling him over ground poles to improve his stride and then over low jumps up to 2′. He is doing great and gets better with each session. I also took him on a nice quiet trail ride after the ring work and he did great on that too! We rode out across the hayfield while the tractors were raking and baling hay, he never paid a minutes attention to the tractors.

Well Judge has been back with me for several months now and is doing wonderfully! I have started him over fences and he is great! He’s still figuring it all out, but he is honest and straightforward and never refuses. We will be doing several clinics this fall and then my goal is to take…

I cannot believe what has just happened. I read all the training notes on Phil’s Courage, what an awesome site. Lilttle Silic is doing great, however, he has a nipping fetish, not in an aggressive way, but unacceptable just the same. So I tried something new other than the John Lyons. After reading the journal…

I am not sure if this is a success story or not really. The idea of success is triumph over something or winning somehow…and my son and I are just barely getting started. If the measure of success is a new, wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, and yes—sometimes cranky, member of the family that worked herself instantly…

I rode Mattie for the first time today. She was great. We worked in the ring for a little while and then my trainer and I took her for a walk down our street (that’s like a trail ride for us considering were just outside of Fort Lauderdale). She was awesome!!! I expected that she…

As soon as it was certain, that we were going to move from Munich in Germany to Huntsville, Alabama, I started searching for the “perfect” horse on the other side of the world…. and soon got hooked on 4 year old Rule My Heart. It took some time, but then Heart finally moved from Kentucky to Alabama, almost a week before we would actually be moving. So here I was with a horse, I had never seen in real life and which I would not even be able to welcome home, since his new home was still not my new home.

Brother Ron settled in so well at his new home. He is a nice paddock by himself for now so that he can have all the hay he wants, but also has his friends right on the other side of the fence. He let the other horses push him around, being the sweet boy he…

Also, for the record, as seems very fitting to me, since he is from Bits & Bytes Farm, Aly has been properly desensitized to laptops! The other night I took mine out there to work on homework a bit, and although I didn’t get much work done, I did get some done with Aly! When I sat down beside his stall and opened the laptop, boy did his nostrils flare!
