Coin Maker Makes Friends at New Home

May 18, 2007

Hi Elizabeth,  I just wanted to let you know that Coin Maker is doing great.  We had him by himself for a couple of days,  then in a pasture with our “baby” horses (2 3-year-olds and 1 2-year-old).  Yesterday,  we let him out with everyone and,  other than the usual antics,  everyone is getting along…

Happy New Year from Allegiant and Amanda

Jan 1, 2012

Allegiant and I are doing great. I overheard my trainer talking with someone on the trail say, “I am not a big fan of thoroughbreds, but I do like her mare.”

Sorry for the Slow Updates

Mar 27, 2011

I have just posted a whole bunch of long overdue updates. I never thought that I would receive so many wonderful stories about the horses we placed. I hope to do better in the future if possible. I am not only the Web master for the OTTB Success Stories and the Bits & Bytes Farm…

“Sage” is (at) Home on the Range

Jun 16, 2009

Home…Home on the range (in Texas)…..Sage is now finally here with me and he has a new best friend Tiger. Both of them are 4 year-old OTTBs and they are both beautiful fiery red chestnuts. You would think they are long lost brothers, because they are inseparable. They don’t leave each others side….even though they are turned out with three other horses. If you take one of them away from the other they whinny at each other it’s hilarious.

Straight From the Horse’s Mouth – Tucks St. Aly Checks In from Texas

Apr 13, 2009

Well, first off, let me tell you, the honeymoon is over! This girl now, instead of giving me 3 peppermints every time she comes to see me….now only gives me maybe 3 or 6 per day. Imagine that, peppermint consumption going from 30 per day to only maybe 6 per day….I’m sure you feel for me. Not only that, but we are finally in a dadgum thing called a ‘regime’. Instead of getting 4 or 5 meals a day, as when I first got here, it’s now back to 3, and no 30 minutes early stuff either.

Midtown Manhattan – Growing in Size and Confidence

Aug 16, 2008

Just wanted to give you an update on Mattie. She is doing great and she’s grown two inches already. When she first came to us she was 15.1 and now she’s 15.3! I love her so much, although she’s only three and a half now, her favorite thing to do is go on trail rides.…
