Ain’t No Big Bad “Bear” ‘Round Here!

Apr 19, 2009

I got accepted into vet school at University of Tennessee Knoxville. I am very excited to take this next step in my life, but nervous too, and a little sad to be leaving undergrad and Cookeville behind. As long as “Bear” aka Got Um Smoke Um, is with me though, I can be happy! I…

Chipawild in Hunter Training in Florida

Nov 2, 2010

If you go on You Tube there is a video if Chippa in FL. She is being ridden by Jaime Gibson (the Gibson’s are good friends of mine and all in the horse business) who is a very talented young professional after a successful junior career. Lovely Weather – Lovely Thoroughbreds!

Oct 11, 2009

This weather is so wonderful! The boyz (Chilletecaux and Dakota Spirit) have been doing so well. Nancy (the older Ms. Lane) came out to watch both horses go which is great for me given she is such a good ground person. She reminded me not to let Chille get me leading with my body, to keep open to help him stay slower. So easy without someone on the ground and she has such a good eye.

No Bouncing on the Trail Ride

Oct 1, 2010

Bounced did well on a 9/25 trail ride in the Flint Creek area of eastern Oklahoma, hopefully the first of a few warm-ups for the Hunter Pace in November. He has been working nicely in open pasture at home, but this was his first off-campus experience since coming to Oklahoma. He went willingly, straight in…
