Punch is NOT For Sale!
Hi Elizabeth! Great news! We’ve decided to take Chaz (Punch) off the market and keep him. We are thinking about selling one of our other horses instead. I’m very excited to be keeping him, he is such a sweetheart! We’ve been working on jumping small fences and flatwork lately. He is doing amazing but still…

I have an exciting update on Grayboo and Amanda. They had a dressage score of 39 – not bad for their first attempt at this level and then proceeded to jump a clean stadium round. The course was not ideal for Grayboo – it was very spread out and gave Grayboo a chance to build speed from jump to jump, but Amanda managed to get him around OK (that and he absolutely can’t stand to touch a jump). Grayboo was an absolute super star on cross country – he jumped clean and Amanda finished 7 seconds over the optimum time, so added 2.8 penalties to their dressage score. I was surprised that Amanda was able to finish close to time her first time out. They finished 10th in a large Open Prelim division of 24.

Hi Elizabeth, Oh my gosh, I am in tears looking at the before and after pictures of that sweet boy. This is so, so upsetting to me. As luck would have it, Noah came down to my room because he’d had a bad dream and saw me crying. I didn’t click off the picture soon…

We still do plenty of ground work, lunging, etc. He has got the best personality of any of my other horses. He is just like a big kid. Loves people, and boy is he nosy! He wants to know, and be in the middle of everything you are doing, and he’s not afraid of anything, which is nice when you are on the trail with him and something runs in front of him, or blows by him.

Vilas (Vilas County) is doing great. I’m planning on showing him the end of May at the Poplar Place Schooling Show in a few Jumper classes. He really loves Jumping, but still has to improve his technique. He is very bold to the fences and there’s nothing that could scare him – he jumps everything…

Lindy and I took our first of many long trail rides cross country. I’m guessing it may have been a first for her since she looked at everything. We rode up and down the hills, through the fields and on the trails through woods for about two hours. It was wonderful!!! She was very brave and very honest– no silly or thoughtless moves 🙂 Lindy learned about stepping over logs and by the end of our ride she was a pro.
