Thoroughbreds can do

Chipawild – Not At All Wild

Nov 24, 2009

Chipawild is doing very well. Doing lead changes and starting to jump small courses. My daughter’s trainer says she is very easy and learns quickly – only has to be shown things once. She still needs a lot of leg and the professional who schools her says she needs to push all the time at the canter to keep her from breaking – maybe why she wasn’t the fastest!

Painted Black is “Bella”

Aug 13, 2009

Bella (Painted Black) is doing very well! She is a very congenial filly….takes things in stride and very matter of fact. She has put on weight nicely and her coat has a great sheen to it. Just doing some stretching and general handling….she is my baby.

Barnwoodbo aka Bo has a “Purr-fect” First Ride

Sep 21, 2008

Thought I would let you know how we made out with Bo. I ran up on Friday morning to get him from the training center without my daughter because the window of opportunity was small. Now I have bought horses from pictures before but this is the first time the horse has looked better than…

Antioch and Molly Canter for the First Time!

May 18, 2010

Molly cantered Antioch for the first time tonight and he was fabulous! He learns everything so fast. He now longes with voice commands and goes at the walk and trot over poles and now she can work on his canter leads! We just love him. I hope all is well at Bits & Bytes Farm.

Pulling Shoes No Biggie for “Icy”

Sep 24, 2008

Just wanted to brag about Icy again. Yesterday we did a little round pen stuff, and he was very calm. I also pulled one of his front shoes since he lost the other one in the pasture. It takes me a lot longer to pull a shoe than it does for the farrier to do…

First Ride on Whos Cindy Sue

Sep 4, 2009

Who’s Cindy Sue was very good…she quickly relaxed and we were able to walk and trot around the ring smoothly!

Joe Bear’s Smooth Moves Win Two Blues

Nov 17, 2008

The show last weekend was fantastic. Joe was an absolute star. He acted like an old veteran the whole day. It was a dressage show at that newish facility ten minutes up the road. My ride times were quite spread apart, giving us a lot of time to just hang out. He was not nervous…

“Seven’s” Luck Continues with New Owner

Feb 15, 2009

When I bought Fuhrluck, aka “Seven”, in July of 2007, I would never have considered selling him except for the fact that my trainer, Dayna seemed to have fallen in love with him. I decided it would be best to sell him to someone who had the time to work with him. To be perfectly…
