Finder’s Chance Scores Well in Dressage

May 10, 2009

Finder’s Chance did great in his first show. Intro Tests A and B. I think he got 69% in Test A and 68% in Test B (even with an error). Except for the entrance and exit, he got all 7s and 8s. He really doesn’t yet have the concept of halting at attention.

“Special” is Way Too Dull a Word for this Day. . .

Feb 21, 2009

I have a hard time calling this a success story; to tell the truth, I have a hard time writing about it at all. Some events feel too sacred to talk about, and my 3rd day with Tucks St. Aly was one such event…The ride that day was superb, we continued our communication, and I think we are beginning to learn more and more about each other; but the best surprise I have ever had was the great highlight of the day. Who can I think of that I am more indebted to than Aly’s original owner and breeder, the person whose very desire to have him was and is responsible for his existence today.

Eleanor’s Groom Well Balanced & Athletic

Jul 1, 2010

Hi Elizabeth – Yes, I just had to say “thanks” to Becky for helping me get the Eleanor’s Groom (plus I’d been in the file for the brand inspector and ran across her #!!).  “Jack” is doing great…he is a teenager so I have to stay on top of things (no pun intended) but he…

Imatexan A Year In (Photo) Review

Dec 9, 2011

Imatexan began the year as an unraced four year old Thoroughbred in race training. In ten months she has gone trail riding, camping, to dressage clinics, had jumping lessons and she has gone to two combined training schooling shows where she entered five classes – three dressage and two jumping classes and she won FIVE BLUE RIBBONS!

Great Game Arrives

Nov 4, 2011

From the cold dark depths of the Bangor Maine night….with the chill 38 degree wind blowing on a night as dark as dark—only a half moon shining feebly high in the sky—–a trailer pulls in. . . Great Game has arrived!

We’ve Come a Long Way Baby

Dec 27, 2009

So I celebrated yet another wonderful year with Irish (Irish Morning Mist) the other day. I brought him his favorite treats and we went on a nice bareback ride with just a lead rope through the pastures.

Four Year Anniversary for K O River Crossing and His Mom Loui

Jul 23, 2011

Wow!Hard to believe it has been four years since I purchased K O River Crossing (sight unseen and just retiring from racing). This past year he has come a long way. Dressage lessons, lots of ground work/riding and many desensitizing sessions with Bob and the “redneck carwash, flags, noodles, hoola hoops and more have definitely paying off.
