The Mission of Bits & Bytes Farm is to help sellers (of Thoroughbred racehorses for sale) to find buyers who have the ability to transition these horses to new careers. We offer assistance and guidance to make sure the horses we sell are successfully placed. Our Success Stories are proof that Thoroughbred racehorses make great sport horses and family members when their racing careers are over.
When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. Enjoying Life After Racing
We had a perfect day today (weather) and both horses took full advantage of it on the soft ground. Thought you’d enjoy seeing Taxi with Cait’s other horse, Pepper. We’ve never had two horses lay down together like this. We were working on the fence near them so after seeing if we needed any help they decided to crash.

Galloping on the Beach or Riding Like the Wind
Maverick (Light Artillery) and I have been unstoppable over the last year and a half! We have sorted cows, stormed over the hill country terrains, rode the flat ranch lands, and one of our most favorite adventures now is beach riding! We do a lot of high demand up beach riding, but I’d have to say our most meaningful times are spent either bareback under a blanket of stars reins loose over his neck walking a dirt road solo or spent just out in the pasture.

Also….we got Patrick fully mounted on Game today and led her around….she was a bit nervous walking with him first draped across the saddle…so after a couple of times and her settling ….I had him slip his leg over and just stay laying forward draped over her withers so he could slide sideways off if she got goofy…but she didn’t ….she was my girl….

Buddy is eating fine now he does eat the grass hay and I only give him two small flakes of alfalfa a day – none of my horses get it free choice. My old mare colics too easy for that. He does however get grain twice daily and is doing fine on it so far,…
Ikon Is Great!
Ikon is doing great. We had some cousins come visit us and they each got “pony” rides on our boys. Ikon was the overwhelming favorite. They thought he was so sweet and gentle. I felt like a proud mama!! Hope all is well with the horses/dogs at Bits and Bytes!!

Coastside’s First Ride – New Mom Full of Pride
