When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. Coin Maker Makes Friends at New Home
Hi Elizabeth, I just wanted to let you know that Coin Maker is doing great. We had him by himself for a couple of days, then in a pasture with our “baby” horses (2 3-year-olds and 1 2-year-old). Yesterday, we let him out with everyone and, other than the usual antics, everyone is getting along…
Hey Dude – Don’t I Know You from Somewhere?
I am amazed at the intelligence of Thoroughbreds and in particular, my little Bubba. We went to the ring to ride and there was a spotted horse trotting around at the far end. Bubba couldn’t take his eyes off this horse. He kept angling to get closer and twisting to keep his eye on this fancy fella.

Whos Cindy Sue – A Future Show Jumper!
She is doing well! We started lunge training this week, and she caught on quickly! I think I may have found my jumper because she jumped out of her turnout last week (it was feeding time!) the fence is four feet, and she cleared it.

First Ride for Finder’s Chance and Jim
Jim rode Chance yesterday for the first time. He fussed and threw his head and jigged for about five minutes until Jim got him settled down. When Jim rode him today, he never did so much as stick his chin out! They have really connected.
Farmsick for Bits & Bytes Farm
I rode Aly again today after breakfast, and lunged and free lunged him first. He did superbly and my mom was extremely impressed with how quickly he obeys the voice cues for w,t,c while lunging especially. I also rode without stirrups for a good 15 minutes or so just to challenge myself and hopefully keep a good seat even though I am coaching myself.
