When a horse is purchased with the assistance of Bits & Bytes Farm, we require the new owners to stay in touch and provide us with updates. These updates are posted on our Success Stories pages so that the sellers of the horses know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. The sellers care about these wonderful Thoroughbreds and they too enjoy reading about their horses' successful new careers. Just About Perfect – Brat Maverick

Chipawild – Not At All Wild
Chipawild is doing very well. Doing lead changes and starting to jump small courses. My daughter’s trainer says she is very easy and learns quickly – only has to be shown things once. She still needs a lot of leg and the professional who schools her says she needs to push all the time at the canter to keep her from breaking – maybe why she wasn’t the fastest!
Bank President
The vet was shocked I bought Bank President sight unseen and then amazed at his easy going temperament. He is so very quiet now after some down time. My farrier also commented on what a nice TB he was. He is on his way now to getting healthy and starting a new career next year.
Rack & Roll – Nothing Scares Dance to the Wire
The thing that has impressed me the most about Dance to the Wire is how quick he learns and takes to new things. You can really see the gears in his head turning as he thinks things through before deciding if it’s worth a reaction….so far not much has bothered him.
Retraining Thoroughbreds Takes Time and Patience
I never thought I would love a Thoroughbred this much — having always ridden Quarter Horses. Now, I have a much more open mind and he has certainly changed the my perception of what the breed is truly about. I think you need a lot of patience with them, yes they are sensitive, but WOW when you channel it all into the job or work they do, it’s incredible how loyal and smart they are.
