Titania aka “Ana” Settles Into Her New Career

Nov 28, 2008

Just wanted to give you a quick update on Titania. We decided to call her “Ana” for short, Titania became a bit of a mouthful after a day or so. She has started her training, I got on her last Saturday, November 22. She was excellent! She was a little up, but then she settled…

Trail Riding Triple Lindy

Jan 19, 2010

Lindy and I took our first of many long trail rides cross country. I’m guessing it may have been a first for her since she looked at everything. We rode up and down the hills, through the fields and on the trails through woods for about two hours. It was wonderful!!! She was very brave and very honest– no silly or thoughtless moves 🙂 Lindy learned about stepping over logs and by the end of our ride she was a pro.

Monarch’s Reign – One Month Update

Jan 18, 2010

Since Monarch’s former owners and his trainer are anxious to know how he’s doing, I thought I’d send a quick update on him (even though we talk about him almost every day!) I have to say that today was really amazing, both for me and for Monarch. We’ve been together just one month now, and…

“Sage” is (at) Home on the Range

Jun 16, 2009

Home…Home on the range (in Texas)…..Sage is now finally here with me and he has a new best friend Tiger. Both of them are 4 year-old OTTBs and they are both beautiful fiery red chestnuts. You would think they are long lost brothers, because they are inseparable. They don’t leave each others side….even though they are turned out with three other horses. If you take one of them away from the other they whinny at each other it’s hilarious.

TK’s Turn Wins Blue at First Dressage Show!

Dec 13, 2010

Hey E and B, TK (TK’s Turn) and I got first place in our dressage test class! Granted, there were only two of us in it, but still! We did Intro A and got a 63. It was only our third ride together since TK came off-the-track. Leslie and Coin Maker won their class also,…

Whos Cindy Sue is Home!

Jul 19, 2009

I am very excited to report that Who’s Cindy Sue has finally arrived to her new home in Connecticut. She marched right off the trailer like a proud filly and immediately stood like a lady for pictures! She arrived safely, healthy and in good spirits. In no time, she found her hay and water in her paddock and began introducing herself to her neighboring ponies!

Every Adult Woman will Appreciate – Your Husband on Your Horse!?!

Feb 21, 2009

Outflankem aka “Bailey” is still learning to give to the bit, but Neil is doing a great job of keeping his hands and seat quiet, and it’s taking less and less time for Bailey to relax and reach down. I may be biased, but I think they look very handsome together!

When That Little Voice Says “Do It!”…

Oct 1, 2008

Today was such a thrill! It’s been a week and a half. Loco and I have been working very hard in the round pen every day. They say thoroughbreds naturally tend to move forward in the pen. Not mine. We’re getting much better, but he’d really like to just look at me and follow me…
